Samuel Price is a writer, ecologist, and adventurer archiving consciousness through ink, music, and 35mm film. He was raised among the humid thickets of Delaware, exploring imagined realities with his brothers. Born with cystic fibrosis, he nurtured dreams beyond the horizon of his prognosis, following them westward to Stanford, where he studied Earth Systems.
His academic training is grounded in somatic experience—the salt spray of the Pacific from Monterey to the Galápagos, the whisper of California’s chaparral, the solitude of the American deserts, the resonance of the Earth’s heartbeat in quiet places. Through his creative practice, Samuel seeks to restore the ancestral nexus between people and place by remembering the relationship between our individual and collective self.
Currently based in the Mojave, Samuel’s work explores the interface of memory, ecology, and consciousness—how we make sense of ourselves and find gratitude for the vitality that still courses through us and the Earth. He is collaborating with his partner Wendy to build OASIS: a collective for artists, thinkers, builders, scientists, visionaries, and storytellers dedicated to revitalizing artistry and facilitating deeply human experiences through sustainable relationships with land, craft, and community. OASIS will be a space to remember our history, reconnect with our roots, and collaboratively build a future that serves both people and planet.
Samuel is eager to collaborate with others from all disciplines who are drawn to engaging conversation, creative exploration, or building something meaningful with intention. If you feel inspired to co-create, reach out via the contact form on this site or find him on Instagram or Substack.
